What's included
Rubbish removal in the Northern Rivers usually means one of three things — hire a skip and load it yourself, find a man with a ute on Facebook, or let it sit another year. We're the fourth option. Every rubbish removal price includes:
- A two-person crew. Both of us, every job.
- All loading. Old furniture, broken appliances, boxes of who-knows-what, the trampoline that's been dead since 2019. We carry it out from wherever it is.
- Tip fees included. The gate fee is inside your number. You don't get a second bill.
- Sorted and recycled. Metal, e-waste, cardboard and green waste come out of the load as we pack it and go to the free or cheaper streams at the tip.
- Sweep-up. We leave the space clean, not just empty.

Ranges, not guesses: the exact number is built on site in front of you. Add $30 beyond ~25 km from Ballina; Byron-side loads run 10–15% higher for gate fees.
How it works
- Call or text to book a free on-site quote. We come to you, look at everything, and enter it into the quoting app in front of you so the price builds up line by line. The price is the price.
- Booking confirmed by SMS. A two-hour arrival window and our names.
- On the day. A text twenty minutes out, then we're there — matching shirts, clean trailer, shoe covers if we're coming inside.
- Load and sort. Recyclables separated on the trailer; anything usable goes to Vinnies or Lifeline and we text you the receipt.
- Sweep, photos, docket. Before-and-after photos to your phone, tip docket kept on file.
What we won't take
- Asbestos in any form — fibro, old sheeting, some vinyl tiles, insulation you're not sure about. We'll refer you to a licensed contractor rather than guess.
- Chemicals, fuel, pool chemicals, gas bottles, paint in bulk. Household amounts go free to the Community Recycling Centre at the Ballina or Lismore tip.
- Needles, sharps, medical waste, dead animals, liquids.
- Soil, concrete, bricks, tiles and renovation rubble are fine, but they're priced by weight on site — a trailer of rubble weighs 3–5 times a trailer of furniture and the tip charges by the kilo.

How much does rubbish removal cost in Ballina, Lismore or Byron?
Single item from $140, quarter trailer $180, half trailer $240, full heaped trailer $330–380. Jobs more than about 25 km from Ballina add $30, and Byron-side jobs are 10–15% more because the Myocum gate fee is the dearest in the region. Everything is included in that number: the two of us, loading, tip fees, sweep-up.
Do you take rubbish that council won't collect?
Ballina, Lismore and Byron councils don't run a kerbside bulky-waste pickup at all — you're expected to get it to the tip yourself. That's the gap we fill. Couches, mattresses, whitegoods, e-waste, the lot.
Is it cheaper to hire a skip?
Usually not once you count your own weekend. A 2 m³ skip is $250–350 in the Northern Rivers, you load it yourself, and it sits in the driveway for up to two weeks. A full trailer with us is $330–380, both of us do the loading, and it's gone the same day we arrive. For a shed or garage that's mostly bulky furniture, we're about the same money for a lot less work.
