What's included
Green waste removal is the job most people put off longest. Every green waste price includes:
- Two of us. Branches and palm fronds are awkward more than heavy, and two people pack a trailer properly.
- All loading. From the back of the block, down the side of the house, out of the garden beds.
- Tip fees included. Green waste is the cheapest stream at every Northern Rivers tip — Ballina charges $8.90 per 100 kg for it against $34.60 for mixed waste — and that's already in your price.
- Kept separate. One broken pot in the load and the tip charges the whole thing at the mixed rate, so green stays green on our trailer.
- Rake-up. We rake the area before we leave.
A full trailer of green waste is $260 — cheaper than a mixed load because the gate fee is lower, and we pass that on.

Ranges, not guesses: the exact number is built on site in front of you. Add $30 beyond ~25 km from Ballina; Byron-side loads run 10–15% higher for gate fees.
How it works
- Call or text to book a free on-site quote. We come out, look at the pile, and price it in the quoting app in front of you. Green waste, mixed, whatever it is — the price is the price before we touch a leaf.
- Booking by SMS. Two-hour arrival window and our names.
- On the day. Text twenty minutes out, then we're there with the trailer and the tools.
- Load it clean. Green waste stays green. If there's a bit of general rubbish mixed in, we separate it so you're not paying mixed-waste rates on garden clippings.
- Rake, photos, docket. Before-and-after to your phone, tip docket on file.
What we won't take
- Stumps and logs over 300 mm aren't refused, but Ballina charges them at a higher rate ($14.60 per 100 kg) so they're priced separately on site.
- Wet or soil-heavy green waste — turf, root balls full of dirt, sodden mulch — is priced by weight on site. Wet green waste weighs far more than it looks.
- Treated timber, fence palings, pots, plastic aren't green waste. We'll take them, they just go on the mixed side of the trailer and are priced that way.
- Asbestos, including old fibro fencing hiding behind a hedge. Refused, always.
- Chemicals and fuel — old weed killer, two-stroke, pool chemicals. Household quantities are free at the Community Recycling Centre; we'll point you there.

How much is green waste removal in the Northern Rivers?
A full heaped trailer of green waste is $260, everything included. Smaller loads are priced by trailer fraction from $140. Stumps, logs and anything wet or soil-heavy are priced by weight on site because the tip charges them differently. You'll see each line in the quote before we start.
Do you take palm fronds and bamboo?
Yes. Palm fronds, banana trunks, bamboo, hedge trimmings, prunings, fallen branches — all normal green waste at the tip as long as it's clean. Big palm trunks and stumps are heavier and go in at the stump rate, so tell us when you book and we'll price them properly.
Can you clear storm and flood debris?
Yes. Fallen limbs, fronds and storm debris are fine for the trailer. If you've got flood-affected furniture or building material mixed in with the garden waste, that's a mixed load and we'll price it as one — just book the on-site quote and we'll sort it in front of you.
Do I get mulch back?
No, but the tip does. Green waste dropped at Ballina, Lismore or Myocum is mulched and sold back to the public — Myocum sells it by the cubic metre or by the bag.
