Who we are

Northern Rivers Tipping is two of us, two cars, two trailers, based in Ballina. We do tip runs, rubbish removal and clean-outs on Saturdays and Sundays across the Northern Rivers — Ballina, Lennox Head, Alstonville, Lismore, Byron, Mullumbimby and everywhere in between.

We grew up here. We know which tip is open on a Sunday, which one charges $40 for a fridge without a degas cert, and which driveway in Lennox a trailer won't make it down.

Why we started

Because the Facebook groups are full of the same question every week — "who does tip runs in Ballina?" — and the answer is always a bloke's mobile number and a shrug. Ballina, Lismore and Byron councils don't do kerbside bulky pickups. If you can't lift a couch or don't own a trailer, your junk just stays.

We figured the job isn't hard. It's turning up when you said you would, doing all the lifting, giving one honest price, and sweeping up after. Nobody around here was doing all four, so we do.

How we work

• Free on-site quote. Call or text, we come out, and we build the price in the quoting app in front of you — every item, every line. The price is the price, confirmed before we touch anything.
• Everything included. Both of us, all loading, tip fees, sorting, sweep-up. One number.
• In writing. You get an arrival window and our names by SMS, and a text when we're twenty minutes out.
• Sorted, recycled, donated. Metal, e-waste and green waste go to the right stream at the tip. Anything with life left goes to Vinnies or Lifeline and we text you the receipt.
• Docket kept. Every load is weighed at a council tip and the docket is on file. Nothing ends up on a back road.

• Based: Ballina NSW 2478. Servicing the Ballina–Byron–Lismore triangle.

• Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 7am–5pm.

• Tips we use: Ballina Resource Recovery Centre, Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre, Byron Resource Recovery Centre at Myocum.
