What's included
A shed clean-out or garage clean-out is where the before-and-after photo earns its keep. Every shed and garage clean-out price includes:
- Two of us, the whole time. Old engines, benches, the fridge that stopped in 2011.
- All loading, from the back corner out. You point, we carry.
- Sorting as we go. Scrap metal, e-waste, chemicals for the Community Recycling Centre, cardboard, green waste and general rubbish all separated on the trailer. Metal and e-waste are free at the tip, and that comes off your price.
- Tip fees included. Whatever the tip charges for the mixed portion is in your number.
- Sweep-out. A clean concrete floor when we leave.
Most single-car garages are a full heaped trailer, $330–380. A packed double garage or farm shed is often two trailers — the second trailer on the same job is a flat +$250, and we bring both crews.

Ranges, not guesses: the exact number is built on site in front of you. Add $30 beyond ~25 km from Ballina; Byron-side loads run 10–15% higher for gate fees.
How it works
- Call or text to book a free on-site quote. We come out, open the shed door with you, and price it in the quoting app in front of you — trailer fractions, plus any per-item extras like a mattress or fridge. The price is the price before we touch anything.
- Booking by SMS. Two-hour arrival window and our names.
- On the day. Text twenty minutes out, then both of us with the trailer(s), gloves and the broom.
- Clear and sort. Keep pile aside, recyclables separated, anything usable to Vinnies or Lifeline with the receipt texted to you.
- Sweep, photos, docket. Before-and-after photos and the tip docket kept on file.
What we won't take
- Asbestos. Older sheds in Alstonville and Lismore are full of it — fibro wall sheets, old eaves, roof sheeting, some vinyl tiles. If we're not sure, it stays and we tell you who to call.
- Chemicals, fuel, old paint, gas bottles, car batteries. Household quantities are free at the Community Recycling Centre at Ballina, Lismore or Myocum. We'll bag them and tell you where.
- Needles, sharps, dead animals.
- Soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, pavers, wet green waste. Taken, but priced by weight on site — a trailer of pavers weighs what four trailers of shed junk weighs.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a shed clean-out cost?
From $180 for a quarter trailer, $240 for a half, $330–380 for a full heaped trailer, and +$250 for a second trailer on the same job. Extras like a mattress (+$70) or fridge (+$60) are added per item. Everything — both of us, loading, sorting, tip fees, sweep-out — is inside that number, and you see it built on site before we start.
Can you clear a farm shed with old machinery and scrap?
Yes, and scrap is the good news: sorted metal is free at every tip in the region, so a shed full of old iron costs you labour, not gate fees. Anything we can't lift between two of us is priced on site — sometimes a scrap dealer with a crane is cheaper, and we'll say so.
Do I need to sort anything before you come?
No. That's the point. Pull out what you want to keep, or just tell us on the day and we'll set it aside. We do the sorting as we load — it's how we keep the tip fee down and it's included in the price.
What happens to the stuff that's still good?
It goes to Vinnies or Lifeline before it goes to the tip, and we text you the donation receipt. Tools, furniture, bikes, sporting gear — if it has life left, it doesn't get landfilled.
